Elizabeth Ellison

A California native appreciating travel while visiting several states: Hawaii, Utah, AZ, TX, CO, VA, KY, Ohio, SC, TN, Washington D.C. and, living abroad in Guadalajara-MX, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Acapulco, and Central America. I have learned many things from my travel(s) abroad, however the most important thing I learned is that different cultural regions here in the U.S. and abroad operate on different time lines, at their own pace and, they all enjoy sharing dinner in their own homes.

My experience is diverse and unique. I worked with the Commercial Attaché Officer at the U.S. Embassy and with the U.S. Aid Office in Central America during a time when there was Civil War. I gave birth to my youngest in Central America where the U.S. Embassy gave us a Birth Abroad Certificate. I operated a business during a time of chaos, and civil disorder. Keeping integrity, the art of negotiation, and a high caliber of professionalism affixed to my persona. I speak Spanish fluently.

I owned and operated a Real Estate Franchise where I recruited, hired, trained and managed sales personnel specializing in Bank Owned properties, and short sales during a difficult time from 1994 to 1998. I have been involved in real estate in different capacities, from residential listings & sales to commercial office and multi-unit transactions. Although I have an eye for Interior Design, extensive knowledge of the loan process, city and government requirements when selling or buying a home, my specialty is selling real estate with people during all stages in life in all price ranges: from first time buyers to empty nesters. I realize the home purchase or sale may also be an individual’s largest financial transaction.

I earned my Bachelor in Pre-Law at National University and my Masters in Business Administration from West Texas A&M. This educational background has complemented my knowledge and understanding of the legal aspects with due diligence, and contract law. Extending my knowledge with my MBA has given me the capacity to employ my skills in project management, leadership, finance, marketing and the state of the art of technology.

My husband is an attorney and JD/MBA at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he is the Acquisition Division Manager. He is Chairman of Board elect of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

All the while having an appreciation for architecture and understanding the restoration and renovation associated with the process and costs, I offer referrals to a list of contractors and architects that perform almost any type of renovation. Success in real estate is dependent upon referrals and that is why I am member of both the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Lastly, through Sotheby’s Global Network of 880 Offices in 60 countries a client’s listing has international visibility with a prestigious website that promotes quality and uniqueness.
